A private primary care practice in Oviedo, Florida is seeking a skilled, certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our patient-centered team. This is a permanent, outpatient position with predictable 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday—no nights, weekends, or holidays—offering excellent work-life balance. Working in close collaboration with our supervising physicians, the PA will provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, and health education for both acute and chronic conditions.

Qualification and Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Active, unrestricted Florida Physician Assistant license
  • Current NCCPA certification (PA-C)
  • Current DEA registration / Florida prescriptive authority
  • 1–2+ years of experience in family medicine or primary care preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Strong clinical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

  • Welcome new patients and obtain and record complete medical histories
  • Perform thorough patient evaluations and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician
  • Prescribe medications and order medical treatments per state regulations
  • Provide preventive care, immunizations, and health screenings
  • Counsel and educate patients and families on prevention and lifestyle choices
  • Manage follow-up care and refer patients to specialists when needed
  • Maintain accurate and current patient records in the EMR
  • Communicate clinical findings to the supervising physician and care team
