A well-established private primary care practice in Oviedo, Florida is seeking a dedicated, board-certified Primary Care Physician (MD or DO) to join our patient-centered team. This is a permanent, outpatient-only position with predictable 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday—no nights, weekends, or holidays—offering an excellent work-life balance. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive, continuity-based care to an established panel of adult and family patients, emphasizing preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and long-term patient relationships in a collaborative, low-stress clinic environment.

Qualification and Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited program
  • Active, unrestricted Florida medical license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
  • Board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Current DEA registration
  • 1–2+ years of experience in a primary care or outpatient setting preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills
  • Commitment to preventive care and a patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of new and established patients
  • Conduct routine check-ups, physical exams, health-risk assessments, and screenings
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and counsel patients on adherence and management
  • Provide preventive care, immunizations, and personalized lifestyle and wellness guidance
  • Refer patients to specialists when needed and coordinate ongoing care
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records in the EHR
  • Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, and support staff to deliver holistic care
